Setting CONNEX Air Unit to control DJI Ronin gimbal

NOTE: This setting procedure below is correct for both the Ronin and Ronin-M gimbals.

This video shows how to connect CONNEX Air unit to the DJI Ronin Gimbal, using a Futaba T14SG RC.

Installing CONNEX Air Unit on DJI Ronin-M

Note

NOTE: The installation procedure below is correct for both the Ronin and Ronin-M gimbals.

  1. Attach the CONNEX Air Unit to the bottom of the Ronin control unit using Velcro and connect the antennas using strips facing down as seen in the image below:

  2. Power the CONNEX Air Unit using a D-tap to 4 pin JST connector. Modify the power cable; refer to the these articles for instructions here and here. The example image below shows a CONNEX Air Unit powered using a D-tap to DC-Jack and a DC-Jack to 4 pin JST.

  3. Connect one end of the S.BUS cable to the S.BUS port on the CONNEX Air Unit and connect the other end to the D.BUS port of the Ronin-M.
