Can I put the Connex Air unit and antennas on the same rod?

For best reception, you should NOT put the Connex Air unit and antennas on the same rod.

We recommend the following:

  • The CONNEX Air unit antennas should face the Ground Unit antennas. This alignment should be both parallel whilst also facing each other.

  • Keep the CONNEX Air unit antennas at least one inch away from any metal or carbon elements, and at a distance of at least two inches between them.

  • Place the antennas at the external side of the drone landing gear.

Note

Note: When a drone has retractable landing gears, set the Air unit's antennas parallel to the Ground Unit antennas. Perform the installation when the drone landing gear is in a retracted position.
